Thanks to member Mary Jo Powell, who is our sponsor, our Jane Austen Birthday Tea Celebration will be held again at the Kansas City Country Club on Sunday afternoon, December 15, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Mary Traylor will be our guest speaker and fabrics and costuming will be the subject. Mary will be talking about fabric and design in Jane Austen’s lifetime, using examples of costumes she has designed for Heart of America Shakespeare productions set in the regency period.
This is a members only event. Ticket price is $50 per person. Please send your check as indicated in the email you will receive. Reservations are not confirmed until receipt of your check. Be sure to click on Pay Offline to receive an email with the information about where to send your check.
We will begin our Social time with a cranberry spritzer at 2:00 P.M.,followed by the Tea at 2:15 P.M. and our Speaker at 3:00 P.M.
Regency style of dress is encouraged but not necessary.
